Upon my 40s, I was offered a telescope. I started to explore the sky ! I do not take pictures, only looking. I have no automated pointing device, I find – now – more interesting to look manually for stars and planets, even if it’s sometime difficult. I live in France, in a flat countryside, where there is not too much city lights, a few kilometers north of the 45°. I look always towards south (on north, there are 2 street light bulbs that forbid any night sky view). I am an absolute beginner.
